GREYHAWK's Sailing Adventures
October 2008
2008 Season Summary
Saturday, November 1, 2008
Greyhawk won two awards from the Gulf of Maine Ocean Racing Assocation at their annual awards banquet:
- Family Spirt Award, recognizing the fact that our crew consisted of three generations: Bennett, his Mom and Dad, and his maternal Grandfather!

- 2nd Place, Cruising Class, Central Division Series. We beat the boat that was 1st place, on three out of four days we raced against them (racing was cancelled on the fourth day), but they had more points than us because they had raced in another event that we hadn't.

All in all, GREYHAWK sailed about 1000 nautical miles over the course of the 2008 season. The boat was in the water for 149 days, and was underway for at least 31 of those days. Tim slept on the boat for 38 nights, and he made 14 round-trips in his van between Keene and Boothbay Harbor (or beyond!).
